Why it exists
Some chart tools ask you to register, or show the chart and then put the explanation behind a purchase. We wanted a place where you can get the chart first and read what each part means afterward, without handing over contact details.
The nameA Human Design chart is drawn in two inks: black for Personality, the birth moment, and red for Design, the moment about three months earlier.
The aim is to be clear about what the system says and honest about what it is. Human Design is a belief system, and the method page explains where it comes from and what evidence does and does not exist for it.
Who it is for
Three kinds of reader tend to arrive here. The pages are written so that each of them can find a straight answer.
- Newcomers. They have just been handed a chart by a friend or another site and want the terms explained.
- Skeptics. They want to see exactly how the numbers are produced.
- People who know the system. They want a second chart to compare against theirs.

Gates and channels appear on every chart, but dedicated pages for them are not written yet.
How the pages are written
Each page is written for this site. We use the standard vocabulary of the system, such as strategy, signature and not-self theme, because readers will meet those terms everywhere, but the explanations and examples are our own.
We state claims as claims, with phrases like "according to Human Design". Nothing is promised, and nothing is presented as established science. Where a figure is only quoted in the community, such as how common a type is, we say so. Where one comes from our own arithmetic, such as the spread of profiles, we say that too.
What this site is not
It is not a reading service, a diagnosis, or a source of health, financial or relationship advice. A chart cannot tell you what to do about a medical question or a legal one, and we would be concerned if it were used that way.
TwoInks is also not endorsed by any Human Design organization. Names of types and centers are used descriptively.
Your birth details
The calculator needs a birth date, time and place and nothing else. For what happens to that information, read the privacy page. If you notice something wrong in a page or a result, tell us through the contact page.
