Privacy Policy

This page explains what TwoInks does with information. The short version: there are no accounts, we do not ask for your email, and we do not sell data. The operator is the TwoInks team.

What you enter

To make a chart you give a birth date, time and place. They are used to calculate the chart and nothing else.

Those details are part of the address (URL) of the result page. That lets you bookmark or share a chart.

Worth knowing

Anyone who has the link can read your birth details.

Web addresses are normally included in the request our host receives and can appear in its standard server logs.

We do not ask for your email address and we do not create accounts. The compatibility chart lets you type a first name for each person; it is optional, it is shown only on that result page and it travels in the page's address like the birth details. When you enter another person's birth details there, please make sure they are happy for you to do so.

When you type a city, the text is sent to our server. The server looks it up in an offline copy of the GeoNames city database.

No third party

No outside geocoding service receives what you type.

GeoNames data is licensed under CC BY 4.0, and we credit it on the terms page.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. To deliver pages, Vercel handles ordinary technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the address you request. We do not use that data to identify you.

Analytics and cookies

We plan to use PostHog to learn which pages and features are used. If you accept analytics cookies, PostHog may set cookies and record events such as:

  • pages viewed
  • whether a chart was calculated, and its type, profile and authority
  • the composite type of a compatibility chart and how many channels of each kind it has
  • whether the transits page was laid over a chart
Never recorded

A birth date, time, place or name, or what you type in the place search. Page addresses are sent without their query, where your birth details live.

If you decline or do not answer, nothing is loaded or sent and we do not set analytics cookies. We remember your choice in one small cookie, twoinks_consent, for six months.

You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page, or by clearing the site's cookies in your browser.

What we do not do

  • No selling. We do not sell your data.
  • No advertisers. We do not share it with advertisers.
  • No other use. We do not use your birth details for anything other than calculating your chart.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its use. Because TwoInks has no accounts, there is usually little that could identify you, but write to us at support@twoinks.com and we will look.

Changes

If our practices change, for example when analytics goes live, we will update this page and its date. For anything else, see the contact page or read how the site works on the about page.

Questions

Does TwoInks store my birth date, time and place?

There are no accounts. Your details are used to calculate the chart and are part of the result page's address, so they travel with the link and with the request to our host.

Does TwoInks use cookies?

Only if you accept analytics cookies. If you do, PostHog may set cookies and record which pages are used. If you decline or ignore the banner, we do not set analytics cookies.

Is my data sold or shared with advertisers?

No. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers. The only outside services involved are our host, Vercel, and PostHog analytics if you accept analytics cookies.

Who can see my chart link?

Anyone who has the link, because your birth details are in its address. Share it only with people you are happy to tell your birth date, time and place.
